The Disciple
Vidya brings twelve and a half years of intensive training to her debut performance. She has had the honor of performing with Natya Dance Theatre at numerous prestigious venues such as Lake Forest College, the Art Institute of Chicago, the Spring to Dance Festival, Illinois State University, Macy's Day of Music, and Ravinia.
Her accomplishments in 2009 include:
- youngARTS dance finalist
- Level 1 Dance Winner Scholarship from the National Foundation for the Advancement of Arts
- Semifinalist in Presidential Scholars program
- Master/Apprentice Grant from the Illinois Arts Council
